Our Committees

At UWFA, we believe in teamwork and emphasize collaboration. Each of our executives leads their own committee dedicated to specific functions of our club. The Advancement Committee is responsible for sourcing speakers for our Thursday events, managing alumni relations, developing workshops, and curating our highlighted job postings.

The Education Committee works on researching current financial and economic topics and creates presentations for every Tuesday general meeting. Their goal is to help members learn and be able to apply knowledge learned in classes to the real world.

The Marketing Committee creates social media content for Instagram and LinkedIn, maintains the website, and send out a weekly newsletter.

Member Development

The Member Development Committee connects the UWFA community and cultivates personal development through coordinating social activities and opportunities for club members.

The Operations Committee makes sure the club runs smoothly, mainly keeping track of membership, finances, and attendance. They also send out meeting reminders and important announcements and answer any membership/attendance related emails.

Investment Group

The Investment Group actively manages two portfolios: D.A. Davidson and Husky Traders. Once accepted into the IG, Junior Analysts must go through a 9-week long structured training program. Upon completion, Analysts and Senior Analysts will participate in quarterly stock pitches to contribute to the D.A. Davidson or Husky Traders portfolios.
